Quilts for a pair of Brothers
Newest Quilts

A client recently commissioned me to make twin-size quilts for her grandsons. Her only wishes were she wanted their names on the quilts and that she wanted Walter's to be blue and teal and Leonard's to be green and teal.
She also didn't want them to be the same pattern, she just wanted similar patterns. Lucky for me, after some discussion, she picked one of my favorite patterns: Meadowland! Now I just had to find a similar pattern. After much searching, I found Nightingale.
My original plan was to do 2 rows of blocks, a 6" strip to put the name in, and 3 more rows. As you can tell from the photos, I did not succeed with that plan, but by the time I discovered my mistake, it was too late. So Walter's quilt has 3 rows, then the name, then 2 rows. I think it still looks fine though!
