Pixel Quilt Builder

This tool is designed to work with spreadsheets (whether Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Libre Office, iWork, or something else). Here are some helpful tips for using this.

• Each cell in the spreadsheet represents 1 pixel (and one individual piece of fabric) in your quilt. Merge cells to form larger pieces of fabric.

  • You get to pick how big that single pixel is. This tool defaults to 2" (unfinished)

• Label each color either with a Letter (not including X) OR you can change the color of each cell to represent each individual color.

• All Measurements are Unfinished sizes. These are the cut sizes, not the finished dimensions. When it says 2"x3.5", this is how big you cut your piece. it will be 1.5"x3" in the finished quilt.

  • You do not need to upload any dimensions at all, but you can.

• Copy and paste all cells from your spreadsheet into the box below.

  • This program will only work with the following:

    • Colors and/or letter Labels for individual colors (I recommend both, but only one is required)

      • For cells that are not merged, you do need a Letter in that box for this tool to count it

    • Merge the Cells to form larger pieces of fabric
