2024-2025 Quilts
My phone crashed in 2024, so I'm missing several photos of quilts made in this time. I also failed to take pictures of some of them.
People have found out that I like scrappy quilts and keep donating scraps! I don't mind their hand-me-downs, but now I'm working on organizing them so I can find what I need in a timely manner.

2020-2023 Quilts
I'd been quilting long enough to have scraps, and i didn't want to toss them out, so many of these quilts use crumbs and scraps. I learned more about Improv quilting and fell in love.
The red quilt back shown here was one of my favorites of all time. It was April-May 2020, and all the fabric stores were closed. I wanted to finish my grandma's quilt for her. I never bought backing fabric until I was ready for it, so I didn't have the red fabric I needed. I scoured my stash, my closet, my friend's stash, my husband's closet, and even harvested fabric from a pillowcase to get enough fabric to make up the back of the quilt. She loved it. I left the pocket from a shirt on the back, and she said she likes to hide things in it so she can find them later!
I also joined a few Round Robins, and had tons of fun. The yellow/black/white quilt is one of them. I made the center Ohio Star, then sent it off to someone else to do a row. It went around the country and came back nearly complete. I added 6 inches to either side, then got it quilted. It still lives on my bed!
The pink/blue Carpenter's star was my brother's wedding quilt. He wanted Camo and Orange, she wanted pink and blue. What you can't see is the back. This is a reversible quilt too, so they can both be happy! (Because I wasn't about to make 2 king size quilts!)

Before 2020 Quilts
These were my first quilts. As you can see, many were simple patchwork. Straight Line Quilting on my domestic machine, except for one that I had professionally long-armed. Many of these pictures are just tops. I didn't think to take finished pictures.
Several of these quilts were donated to local foster children in their new foster homes.
I did do a few quilts following a pattern, but many were improv or just simple patches.
