Round Robin Part 3
Ginger joined the group and I get her block first!
DESIGNGUILD IDEASLTSROUND ROBIN

This is not a very clear picture, but it's the only one I got. Ginger joined the group after we'd already started the Round Robin, but we decided to let her join in anyway. She brought her block and I got it first! It was a lovely butterfly panel with a simple blue and pink border with glittery unicorn cornerstones.
She told me it was for her granddaughter, and I thought about doing some paper-pieced letters with her granddaughter's name on it. I waited until last minute and still wasn't sure what to do. I wanted to set one of these Round Robin's on Point before they got too big, but this one was already pretty big, especially for a first block. Instead, I just did a lot of little diamonds around the edge.
I had some of this nice Ombre green fabric leftover from another project, and the purple and the pink cornerstones. Actually, I think it was all leftover fabric that was still out near my cutting space. I did think I'd measured correctly so there'd be a nice even number of diamonds on each side. We're just not going to look too closely at those partial diamonds!
I knew I wanted a nice strong border around both sides, and I opted for the purple. It's a nice girly color that any young girl will love. It's got some circle-like shapes that mimics the dots in the butterfly too. And I brought a similar pink out to help unify the entire block. I was up until well past midnight the night before this block was due!

Here's a close-up!
