Shades of Earl Grey
Designed for a 6" Blocks!
$5.99
Shades of Earl Grey is my newest quilt pattern. When I first heard about this Blog Tour, I started thinking what I could do with my blocks, and I was drinking a cup of Earl Grey Tea at the time, so I thought maybe I could make the blocks into teacups. Pretty soon, this idea was born!
It's designed for the Shades of Gray with a Pop of Color blog tour. Use your 6" blocks from the blog tour, to create these mugs. In my images they're just solid grey, but yours should have pops of color throughout. Use that color or another color for the mug.
I like blue, so my background is entirely blue, but feel free to mix it up!
And because I apparently can’t resist going a little extra, there’s a giant appliquere teapot, too. It anchors the whole quilt and makes it feel like an actual tea party instead of just a grid of blocks.
This one was a good reminder that gray doesn’t have to mean dull. It can be soft, dramatic, moody, modern — especially when you let a little color sneak in.
