Stellar Array Quilt Pattern

Jelly Roll Friendly!

$10.99

This Jelly-Roll friendly quilt comes in 5 sizes, ranging from baby quilt to a massive king size! Its easy to resize if you need a different size, and it's so versatile.  It's a great gender-neutral quilt and good practice for those pesky stich-and-flip corners. Each Star block has 8 of them!

Stellar Array began as whimsical doodles on graph paper, initially intended as poinsettias for a festive flair. My love for designs with just two blocks led to the creation of the poinsettia block (now a star block), and I began crafting its simple sidekick with a cross smack in the middle. When I fed this into PreQuillt, that plain cross unexpectedly sprouted 4-patches in the corners, morphing into a grid-like wonder. Once I splashed on some color, voilà! Stars emerged from the grid! Coincidentally, I was binge-watching Star Trek: Voyager, particularly an episode with Seven of Nine in Stellar Cartography. The stars aligned, and my grid turned into a sci-fi masterpiece!

I waltzed into the fabric store, visions of cosmic wonders dancing in my head, but alas, not a single fabric matched my galaxy dreams. Then, bam! A Jelly Roll of teals, pinks, and blues winked at me. Swoon! I grabbed a mauve for the backdrop, thinking it was just a practice run to test my pattern. But those colors? Magical! They skyrocketed to the main event. I did whip up a second version with a dark teal base and a Jelly Roll of yellow, orange, and green, but it just didn’t hit the same note.
