How to make a Triangle-in-a-square Block. Any Size!

Start with a square of fabric the size you need your block. In the video above, I used a 6"x6" square because that's what I wanted, but you can do any size you want.

Your side pieces need to be a little wider than half your square width, and a little longer. In my case, I did 4x7, but if your square is 10x10, you might want to go with something like 7x12.

Make 2 small marks 1/4" from the center point at the top of your square, and 2 more 1/4" up from the bottom of each side.

Line up your side piece with the upper right mark and the lower right mark (I messed up at first in the video! Don't do that!

Sew it down! Fold it open (iron if you want), then from the back, trim the excess fabric off.

Repeat for the other side.

Then, if you want, trim the extra from your original square.
