Raffle Tickets for Primrose Promenade Quilt

What? This quilt, created for Love of Quilting Fall 2026 could be yours! The quilt measures 75"x75" and is 100% cotton. Fabric donated by Benartex Fabric.It is Montgomery Mountain Charm, from Belle Brunner from Arkansas, Designed and sewn by Tiffany Newton of Harrison, AR and Quilted by Charity Beckly of Ditsy Fish in Mountain Home, AR, this quilt has been a labor of love from more than just me.

Where? The winner of this quilt will be responsible for shipping (about $30) or local pick up (Southwest Missouri/North-Central Arkansas area between Springfield, MO, West Plains, MO, and Harrison, AR).

When? The winner will drawn on October 31, at noon CST. And will be contacted via email and/or phone.  A new winner will be drawn after 7 days of no reply/response. 

Why? 

This quilt raffle is a little different from my usual quilt projects. This one is for my parents, Gerald and Sheri, who have had an incredibly difficult summer.

In June, our family lost my grandpa. Just a few weeks later, my dad, Gerald, was hospitalized with a severe infection in his foot that resulted in an emergency amputation. Gerald had been a truck driver for more than 40 years and had only recently been forced to retire because of his health.

While Gerald was in the hospital, my mom, Sheri, was hospitalized with severe sinus infection and pneumonia. After they both finally made it home in July, we hoped the worst was behind them. Unfortunately, Sheri was hospitalized again with pneumonia in August and is now facing possible sinus surgery to help prevent the recurring infections.

Gerald is working hard to regain his independence. He's back to building his beloved model cars and has even managed to get back on the lawn mower. Sheri, meanwhile, is trying to keep up with her own recovery while continuing to help care for her 80-year-old mother.

Both Gerald and Sheri are over 60 and live on disability, and these medical challenges have created a lot of additional expenses.

Where the money will go

100% of the raffle proceeds will go directly to Gerald and Sheri. I will not keep any of the money.

The funds will help with whatever they need most, including:

• Gerald's future prosthetic foot and physical therapy

• Transportation and gas for their increased medical appointments

• A vehicle capable of transporting both of their electric wheelchairs

• Increased electric bills

• Grocery delivery

• Housekeeping and other in-home assistance

• Other everyday expenses related to their medical needs

The goal for this raffle is $1,000, which means selling 100 tickets at $10 each.

My parents have spent their lives taking care of their family, friends, church, and community. Now I'd like to give people an opportunity to take care of them for a change.

More than anything, I hope this raffle shows Gerald and Sheri just how many people care about them and are willing to help them through a difficult season.
